A free Indian music event has been announced to help raise money for a hospice.
Ramesh Bhanderi, a volunteer for St Luke's hospice, has organised the free bhajan event on Saturday, September 6 from 7pm to 11pm to raise money for the charity.
The second annual free event raised £3,500 last year featuring bhajan which is a form of traditional Indian devotional music.
Mr Bhanderi said: "I first experienced the work of a hospice when a friend of mine received his end of life care at Pembridge Palliative Care Unit.
"I was moved by the care that was provided to my friend and equally embarrassed by my lack of understanding of this invaluable community care.
"I was elected as a trustee of St Luke's in 2011 and I have found this to be immensely rewarding.
"I have had the opportunity to attend various events on behalf of the hospice and meet people from diverse backgrounds who all work for the betterment of the community at large."
The free event will take place at Queens Park Community School, in Aylestone Avenue, and those interested in attending can find out more information by clicking here.
