A house built in the 16th century will open its doors for a day to help raise money for a museum.

People are invited to tour Sweetman's Hall, in West End Lane, Pinner, on Saturday November 29.

Money raised from the event will go towards reopening the Heath Robinson Museum, which celebrates the famous cartoonist and artist, who lived in Pinner.

Geoff and Gill Atkinson won a Harrow Heritage Trust Award for restoring the Grade II listed Sweetman's Hall, which they now call home, in 2008.

First records of a property on the Sweetmans Hall site date from 1393, but the present house was built at the time of Henry VIII.

Tickets are now on sale at Andrik in Love Lane and Andrew Pearce, in High Street, Pinner, and cost at £5 for adults and £3 for children.

The tours are not suitable for disabled people due to the uneven floors in the house.
