Students and teachers raised £1,000 during a Christmas fair to raise money for young carers.
John Lyon School, in Middle Road, Harrow, held the event to raise money and buy Christmas presents for the Harrow Young Carers Project, for those caring for a family or friend with an illness, disability, mental illness or addiction.
It was held on Wednesday, December 10 and organised by Michele Gascoine, the school’s alumni relations manager.
Ben White, children’s support manager, said: “The school have truly championed the cause of young carers in the borough.
“Events of this nature enable us to deliver vital services to young carers and their families across the borough and we looked forward to continued working with the school.”
