Kylie Minogue will play a free ‘intimate’ gig in London this September. That’s right, you read correctly. Does that make your heart go padamb padam?

The Australian pop icon and multi-million record selling artist will perform at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday, September 27, five days after her new album Tension’s release due date, September 22.

Just to state the obvious, Tension, Kylie’s 16th studio album, features her latest hit and “gay song of the summer” Padam Padam.

The super star has also hinted she will look back through her catalogue of hits during the gig as well.

The gig will be an “intimate” gathering of an audience of around 14,000, which is actually a very intimate crowd for the Aussie who can fill a stadium.

In fact, 700 pairs of tickets are up for grabs, and these are for general admission or seated tickets on level two or three.  However there’s a catch.

Of course there’s a catch. Otherwise trying to gain entry would be utter chaos, hair pulled out by the fistful chaos.

These double passes are available only to Virgin Media broadband and 02 customers via the company’s Priority service, and via a prize draw.

Priority customers can enter the draw up until Thursday, September 14 via the website or through the Priority app.

Kind of makes you lament being a Now customer, doesn’t it?

Speaking about teaming up with Virgin for the gig, Kylie said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to London to play such an intimate venue.

“It’s going to be a really special evening playing some favourites from throughout my career and of course from my new album out that week. I can’t wait to see some of you there!”

Kind of makes you want to break contract, doesn’t it?

Kylie’s exclusive gig will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at the o2 Sheperd’s Bush Empire,  211 Shepherd's Bush Green, W12 8TT
