New Wealdstone chairman Peter Marsden says he wants to "drive success" at the club after joining from Accrington this week.

Marsden, who went to school in the borough and was born and raised in Wembley, followed the Stones during the Lower Mead George Duck era, and lives in Cricklewood in North London.

He has been chairman of Accrington for four years, during which time the club enjoyed its highest finish in its history, only missing out on automatic promotion to League One on the final day of the season before missing out in the play-offs.

He said: "I am ambitious and make no excuses for the fact that I want to drive success at Wealdstone both on and off the pitch; I believe that the relationship between chairman and manager is massively important and is an aspect of the role I really enjoy.

"But most of all I want this journey to be fun and I look forward to meeting Stones fans very soon so that I can share my vision and passion for football and most importantly success at Wealdstone."
